Hefren-Tillotson Breaks Ground On New 40,000-Square-Foot Office Building In Township Of Pine

PITTSBURGHHefren-Tillotson, Inc., one of Western Pennsylvanias largest investment advisory and financial planning firms, has announced the June 3 groundbreaking and start of construction of its new Class-A office building in the Township of Pine.

The three-story, 40,000-square-foot building will be on a two-acre site located at 12570 Perry Highway, and is scheduled for summer 2016 completion. Hefren-Tillotson will occupy 32,000 square feet of the building, with the remaining space available for lease. Approximately 50 of the firm’s 200+ employees work in the current Wexford office.

The new office building will enable us to expand our services to better meet the individual needs of our clients, said Craig Tillotson, Hefren-Tillotson vice chairman. Its been a long-term goal for us to expand our Wexford presence since we first opened our office on Route 19 in 2000, so this transition will be seamless for our clients.

DiRienzo of Michael Joseph Development Corp., the project developer. “It’s been a pleasure to work with our team, including Hefren-Tillotson, Integrity Design Architecture, Tait Engineering and A. W. McCay Contracting, our general contractor.”

The striking design features full-ribbon, 360-degree windows on all floors that will flood the interior with natural light and monolithic stone in the bay entrance. The new office building will include a welcoming two-story lobby, a balcony overlooking the main floor, a private outdoor patio, a well-appointed interior that pays homage to the 67-year-old Hefren-Tillotson tradition and an adjacent parking lot in a suburban setting.

It is wonderful to see the continued surge in activity in Pittsburghs North Hills and in the Township of Pine in particular, said Tillotson. We have always believed in the potential of this area and we feel our new office is a key component to better serving our clients and to our growth strategy in the region.

Tillotson said that the company will continue to be headquartered in downtown Pittsburgh and maintain its additional offices in Butler, Greensburg and Southpointe.
