PITTSBURGH Hefren-Tillotson Assistant Director of Financial Planning, StephanieMcElheny, has been named President of the Financial PlanningAssociation(FPA) of Pittsburgh. She will assume her new responsibilities beginningJanuary 1, 2015.
The FPA is the leadership and advocacy organization representing thefinancial planning community. FPA is the largest membershiporganization for personal financial planning aspects in the UnitedStates and included professionals from all backgrounds and business models.
McElheny is a Certified Financial Planner, an Investment AdvisorRepresentative, and a licensed agent for life, accident and health insurance. She focuses on creating and reviewing financial plans(utilizing Hefren-Tillotsons exclusive MASTERPLAN approach) for accuracy before being presented to clients. McElhenyalso supports the advisor-client relationship providing research on avariety of planning-related subjects.
In addition to her new FPA responsibilities, McElheny served as the2014 chairperson of the Financial Fourum, overseeing the highest attendance in the history of the event. A Pittsburgh native, she receiveda Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the Pennsylvania StateUniversity.
