Assistant Director of Financial Planning

We are seeking to recruit for the position of Assistant Director of Financial Planning. This individual will be responsible for creating content, working in eMoney, and being the point of contact for Advisors and Financial Planners to provide higher level research and assistance for clients. Additionally, this individual will complete the final review of the MASTERPLAN before it is presented to clients and provide training for Financial Advisors as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree, required minimum of 3 years of financial planning experience, CFP designation preferred at hire or will be obtained within the first 2 years of employment.  The candidate will have strong computational, mathematical and analytical skills and may possess advanced education in a specialized area such as tax planning, estate planning, or executive compensation.

Associate Advisor

The Hefren-Tillotson Associate Advisor Program is the opportunity we offer to entrepreneurially minded individuals who are interested in entering our noble profession and becoming a financial advisor. Upon completion of the program, the new advisor will have achieved the level of competency and professionalism in the areas of service, compliance, prospecting, financial planning, sales and marketing that we expect of our Financial Advisors. 

During this 36-month apprenticeship, the Associate Advisor will work side-by-side with one of our experienced Financial Advisors and immerse themselves in our MASTERPLAN® process. Additionally, the Associate Advisor will be expected to earn the Series 7, Series 66 and Certified Financial Planner designation.

Once they have achieved their licenses, and with coaching from our best advisors, the Associate Advisor will be expected to begin the process of building their own practice.  Upon successful completion of the program, the new Financial Advisor will have the experience, opportunity and foundation for success that only Hefren-Tillotson can offer.

The ideal candidate will have passed the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE or Essentials) Exam, have strong PC skills, and a relevant college degree or equivalent work experience.  Candidates should appreciate the value of teamwork; be willing to leverage internal and external resources; be an excellent communicator, self-motivated and responsible.

Financial Advisor

A Hefren-Tillotson Financial Advisor always puts their clients first.  The ideal candidate will believe in the power of financial planning, have high ethical standards and focus on building strong personal relationships.

The ideal candidate will have strong PC knowledge; relevant college degree or equivalent work experience, at least 5 years industry experience, and a proven track record of business development.  Candidates should appreciate the value of teamwork; be willing to leverage internal and external resources; be an excellent communicator, self-motivated and responsible.  Series 7 and 66 licenses required.

Financial Assistant - Various Branches

A Hefren-Tillotson Financial Assistant provides support to financial advisors in a fast-paced, multi-task environment by acting as the liaison between the client and operational/administrative tasks such as:  respond to client calls; open and process new accounts; maintain and monitor account and portfolio information; research and resolve client issues and requests; organize advisors’ schedules; keep abreast of software, operational procedures, and industry regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree or equivalent experience; 1-2 years of brokerage experience preferred; excellent analytical, communication, and organization skills; proficiency in MS Word and Excel; Series 7 and Series 66 License a definite plus.  

We are hiring Financial Assistants for our South Hills, North Hills and Pittsburgh branches.

Operations Administrator

The Hefren-Tillotson Operations Administrator is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of client account documents within firm policies and procedures and stated regulatory guidelines; while also monitoring the status of customer accounts, assisting Financial Assistants on new and existing policies and procedures, process incoming and outgoing customer account transfers and verify for accuracy, opening new accounts, maintaining information, complete address and rep changes, process brokerage and direct business applications and process deposits, check requests, retirement contributions and distributions and asset movements and deliveries.

The ideal candidate will have strong PC knowledge; relevant college degree or equivalent work experience; excellent phone skills; and 2 years operational brokerage experience preferred.
