Jim Meredith is the financial expert of the popular radio program, Hefren-Tillotson's: Your Money and You, heard every Sunday morning on KDKA-AM 1020. As an Executive Vice President of the firm and the President of Masterplan, Inc., Hefren-Tillotson's parent company, Mr. Meredith has been a leader on the Hefren-Tillotson team since 1977. Jim has over 35 years of extensive professional experience in the areas of finance and taxes, which he continually calls upon in helping clients obtain their financial objectives. Jim Meredith has also earned the prestigious Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation. The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), a national professional organization of CPA's has only granted the PFS accreditation to about 2% of CPA's nationwide. To earn this honor, Jim met six requirements, including a rigorous technical exam and a peer review of his ability to demonstrate significant experience in personal financial planning. Jim's previous experience also includes teaching college-level accounting courses. As a former professor, Jim is able to employ his teaching skills and experience in helping people better understand almost every aspect of any subject dealing with financial management. Jim Meredith received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and his Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Dayton. Jim's continuing education has included postgraduate work in accounting, taxes, and finance. Jim has lectured extensively across the United States on the subject of Personal Financial Planning. He has also co-authored Expert Financial Planning, a book on financial planning. |
