John P. Meegan

John P. Meegan is an Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Hefren-Tillotson, Inc. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has over 20 years experience in the securities industry. Mr. Meegan joined Hefren-Tillotson in November 2005 as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Hefren-Tillotson, Mr. Meegan was Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Parker/Hunter Inc. and held various other senior level positions during a twelve year career there including Chief Financial Officer and Director of Operations. Mr. Meegan is active in the securities industry serving on various regulatory committees. Currently, he is the Chairman of the NASD Financial Responsibility Committee and is a member of the following other NASD Committees: Uniform Practice Code, Member Services and Self-Compliance, and Financial Operations Review (Series 27 and 28). He served as a member of the District Business Conduct Committee from 2000 through 2003 (three year term). Mr. Meegan has been involved as a participant and speaker at various Securities Industry Association roundtables and conferences. Outside of the securities industry, Mr. Meegan is a volunteer for Amherst College helping the college in their fundraising, athletic and alumni affairs. He was recognized with a Distinguished Service Award in 2002. John also is a member of the Catholic Charities Free Health Care Center board of directors. Mr. Meegan is a 1981 graduate of Amherst College with a BA in Economics and has a Masters of Business Administration from New York University (Leonard Stern School of Business). John Meegan is a resident of Upper St. Clair, PA where he lives with his wife Cindy and their two children. |
