Joseph Niesslein

Joseph M. Niesslein is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds the position of Chief Financial Officer for the full-service investment brokerage firm of Hefren-Tillotson, Inc. Mr. Niesslein began his career with Exxon Company U.S.A. as an internal auditor. He also represented Exxon, along with members of other oil companies, on the Internal Audit Staff of the Alyeska Pipeline Service Company. In addition, he has served on the boards of various organizations, often holding the position of treasurer. Prior to joining Hefren-Tillotson, Joe Niesslein practiced with the Certified Public Accounting Firm of Wengryn, Hughan & Company, Inc. His public accounting experience there included membership on the audit team reviewing Hefren-Tillotson, Inc. for over 12 years. He acted as team-leader for most of those years. In addition, Joe Niesslein is experienced in assisting business owners with the purchase and/or sale of their businesses, including providing business valuation services. He has a broad base of tax preparation and planning experience working with a variety of business entities including sole proprietors, corporations, personal service corporations, subchapter S corporations, partnerships, and estates and trusts. Mr. Niesslein graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family including leading his two boys as a manager or coach in their extracurricular activities. |
