Belynda D. Slaugenhaupt is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant and First Vice President with Hefren-Tillotson, Inc., a privately held Pittsburgh-based investment advisory firm. She and her partner, Elisa J. Cavalier, Esq., specialize in offering comprehensive financial planning and investment services for individuals, foundations, trusts and qualified retirement plans. Belynda is also a licensed agent for Life, Accident and Health Insurance. Prior to joining Hefren-Tillotson, Belynda Slaugenhaupt worked as a Registered Representative of Allegheny Investments, Ltd., a full-service brokerage and investment banking firm located in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh. Her previous work experience also includes having served fifteen years as a municipal manager. Since 1996, Ms. Slaugenhaupt has been a member of the International Association for Financial Planning and the Institute of Certified Financial Planners, both now known as the Financial Planning Association. A graduate of Westminster College, Ms. Slaugenhaupt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a concentration in Economics. Belynda serves as a member of the board & finance committee for the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, and is a member of the board for the American Respiratory Alliance of Western Pennsylvania. Strongly committed to philanthropy, Belynda enjoys working with foundations and non-profit organizations, as well as assisting her charitably inclined clients to find creative ways in which to leave a legacy. Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
