Jay Simon is a Senior Vice President and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional for the full-service investment brokerage firm of Hefren-Tillotson, Inc.

Jay has built a dynamic team within Hefren-Tillotson called THE SIMON FINANCIAL GROUP. The group specializes in financial planning and money management for entrepreneurs, business executives, retirees and professional athletes.

Jay is an NFL Players Association Registered Player Financial Advisor. He is highly motivated to help professional athletes and their families achieve financial independence for the many years that will come after the playing days are over. Hefren-Tillotson's conservative approach to investing matches nicely to the needs of these young professionals.

Born and raised in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Jay has high community, family and spiritual values. The annual "Jay Simon Golf Classic" raises money for the "Norma L. Simon ALS Patient Equipment Fund," a fund named in honor of his mother created to provide current ALS patients with equipment not covered by insurance.

Jay is also the originator of “Big C.” “Big C” is a monthly men's ministry at which Christian men meet and grow with other Christian men regardless of their church affiliation or denomination.

Jay Simon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Allegheny College and received a second bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University. Jay earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation in 1996.

Jay, his wife, Jennifer, and their three children, Justine, Jonah and Jayne reside in the North Hills of Pittsburgh.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
