Richard D. Guernsey, a Certified Fund Specialist, has been helping individuals reach their investment goals as a financial advisor since 1960. In particular, Dick specializes in the fields of educational funding, 401(k) and IRA roll-overs, pre- and post-retirement planning and working with displaced employees.
He began his career in financial services with INA, a major insurance carrier, in the property and casualty area. As the company expended its services into the investment field Mr. Guernsey was chosen to help build this area of development by recruiting and training registered representatives for the company.
Dick later joined an international insurance brokerage firm as a vice president of production and was responsible for management activities as well as developing comprehensive programs for corporate clients. In 1981, he was offered the position of Director of Property Insurance for Gulf Oil Corporation and remained in that position until the demise of Gulf Oil some three years later. At that time, Mr. Guernsey formed his own firm specializing in the fields of educational funding as well as pre- and post-retirement planning.
Mr. Guernsey served in the USAF and retired from that branch of service as a Lt. Colonel.

Dick is a native of Pittsburgh and resides in McCandless Township with his wife, Mary Ann, a practicing attorney. In his free time, his hobbies include golf and alpine skiing. An avid skier, Dick continues to hold a certification in the PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) and is a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
