R. Kevin Guernsey began his financial planning career as a Registered Representative at a Pittsburgh-based firm specializing in comprehensive financial planning. He holds the NASD series 7 and 63 licenses. Working alongside his father, Kevin was also a partner of Guernsey Financial Services. In December of 2003, Kevin, along with his father, made the decision to join the Hefren-Tillotson team in order to expand the level of service that they could offer to their clients.
Kevin specializes in the fields of educational funding, 401(k) and IRA roll-overs, pre and post-retirement planning and working with displaced employees. He can be reached at his direct line at (412) 258-1072.
Mr. Guernsey, a 1984 Magna Cum Laude graduate from Robert Morris University, with a degree in accounting, began his business career with the accounting firm of Arthur Young & Co. Subsequently, Kevin accepted a position with Union Switch & Signal, serving as Project Accountant, rising to the level of Project Director. In this capacity, Kevin was responsible for all aspects of multi-million dollar projects, including budgets, design, manufacture, and testing of complex transit signaling projects.
Kevin resides with his wife Robin and two sons in Wexford, PA. Kevin is an avid skier, a certified member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America and a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. He also enjoys photography, woodworking and is an auto enthusiast.
