James Ferrell is an Associate Vice President and a Financial Advisor with the full-service brokerage firm of Hefren-Tillotson, Inc. Mr. Ferrell is also a licensed agent for Life, Accident, and Health Insurance and Annuities. He specializes in providing his clients with Retirement, College, and Estate Planning, as well as Portfolio Management and Insurance and Tax Planning.
Jim believes in developing a rock-solid relationship with his clients that is built upon a genuine regard for their needs, sensible advice and outstanding individualized customer service. He adheres to a philosophy that “People don’t care what you know, until they know that you care.” Jim wants to be the trusted advisor that clients can rely upon for all of their major financial decisions, now and in the future.
Prior to joining Hefren-Tillotson Jim was a Financial Advisor with the firm of Morgan Stanley in downtown Pittsburgh. And, before changing careers, Jim was an Industrial Engineer for the Aerospace and Government Systems Sector of Tyco Electronics, an electronic components manufacturer in Harrisburg, PA.
Mr. Ferrell earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
When Jim is not meeting with clients he embraces the rigors of weight training, enjoys four-wheeling off road, and loves to cook. Jim and his wife Laura, a Pediatrician, reside in New Castle, PA with their daughter Ella Elizabeth.
