Elisa Cavalier is a Financial Advisor with Hefren-Tillotson, Inc., a privately held Pittsburgh-based investment advisory firm. She joined Hefren-Tillotson as a partner with First Vice President Belynda D. Slaugenhaupt, CFP®. Together they specialize in comprehensive financial planning and provide investment advisory services for individuals, foundations, trusts and qualified retirement plans.
Elisa Cavalier is also an attorney. Prior to joining Hefren-Tillotson, Elisa worked for the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington, DC managing a $2 million community revitalization program. Elisa served ten years as General Counsel for Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation and Station Square where she handled all legal matters for the Foundation and managed its multi-million dollar revolving loan fund. Elisa started her legal career as corporate attorney with Buchanan Ingersoll advising public and private companies in general corporate matters, debt restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and private placements.
Elisa graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University and received her juris doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law. Elisa is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and has been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Western District Court of Pennsylvania.
Elisa is committed to community service and has a keen interest in architecture, historic preservation and community revitalization. She also enjoys tutoring at-risk boys and girls and strives to provide them with the emotional and educational skills needed to become productive citizens.
