Bernard J. Dougherty is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Registered Investment Representative, Licensed Insurance Agent and Senior Vice President with Hefren-Tillotson.
Bernie is a graduate of Grove City College with a B.A. Degree in Financial Planning and minor in Economics. Since joining Hefren-Tillotson in 1993, Bernie has completed masters level coursework in the areas of Taxation and Estate Planning.
An experienced member of the Hefren-Tillotson team, Bernie specializes in Comprehensive Financial Planning, Retirement Transitions, and Investment Management. He recognizes that financial success brings increased responsibilities and complexity. Through Hefren-Tillotson's MASTERPLAN approach, Bernie reviews and advises on all aspects of clients' financial situation; from Investment Advisory to Retirement Income and Long Term Care Planning.
Previously, Bernie was with the Ayco Corporation, a tax and financial advisory firm serving Senior Executives of the Fortune 500. He is experienced with the unique issues that confront Corporate Executives such as Stock Option/AMT Planning; Deferred Compensation; Concentrated Security positions and Estate Planning.
The youngest of ten children, Bernie learned early-on the value of a dollar. He and his wife Ronna keep active with their three children.
